Students from Westmount High School, under the guidance of Arts Department Head Silvana Anania, participated in an Educ/Expo vernissage of the intercultural art project for teenagers called Hybrid Identities at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts.
Parents who are interested in registering their child(ren) at Westmount High School should contact us for information about eligibility and programs. WHS also registers new students throughout the school year, however, acceptance depends on classroom availability.
The Advanced Placement (AP) Program, administered by The College Board, is a cooperative educational endeavour between secondary schools and colleges and universities and provides students with the opportunity to take college-level courses while still in high school.
We offer AP programs in:
- Math and Science (Calculus in AB, Environmental Science)
- Social Sciences (Comparative Government and Politics, Psychology)
- Languages (French Language and Culture, English Literature and Composition) and
- Pre-AP Art (Studio Art).
WHS is also a testing center for the College Board. Students at WHS wishing to sign up for AP exams are asked to see Mr. Ruddick in Room 201 [rruddick@emsb.qc.ca]. External candidates are invited to download the AP Exam Registration Form for External Candidates 2019 and AP Student and Parent Bulletin.
We are dedicated to high standards of excellence in our academic subjects. We offer a wide selection of courses for students to explore and develop their individual interests, and to acquire and perfect new skills.

We do not use entrance exams to determine acceptance to our school.
Unlike entrance exams, placement exams are completed by students who are already accepted and they give teachers, guidance counsellors and administrators the preliminary data necessary to help enter students the correct programs at the start of the school year.
The date for Placement Exams for grade 7 applicants only will be sent out with your acceptance letter.
