Returning Students

If your child(ren) is returning to Elizabeth Ballantyne school for the 2022-2023 school, parents are asked to confirm the return via the Mozaik Parent Portal. This is especially important as it allows the school to accurately staff the school for the next year. Your cooperation in this matter is appreciated.

Report Cards & Parent Teacher Meetings

Report cards will be available to parents, via Mozaik, on Friday, February 4th, 2022. Hard copies will not be sent home with students. Parent Teacher meetings will be on Thursday, February 10th via appointment only. You will receive a letter if a teacher has requested a meeting with you. February 11th is a pedagogical day.

Absence Reporting

In the event of a student absence, it is important that all parents report the absence, as well as the reason, to the office. You may do so by calling and leaving a voicemail, emailing the school, or via the Mozaik Parent Portal.

Utensils in lunch

If you are sending your child with a lunch or snack that requires utensils, please ensure you provide them with what they need.

Grad Committee

If you are the parent of a graduating student and would like to volunteer for the Grad Committee, please send an email to eballantyne@emsb.qc.ca with your name and your child's name. The committee will be made up of staff members and parents.

COVID-19 Vaccination

EBS students will have the opportunity to receive their vaccination in school on February 25th. Consent forms have been sent home with students. You should have also received a detailed email with various information documents.   Please be reminded that parents cannot accompany their child(ren) for an in-school vaccination. In addition, please be reminded that a child can receive their 1st or 2nd dose on this day.

Bus information

Parents are asked to contact their respective bus company directly for any inquiries (arrival time, late, missed stop, etc.). The contact information for the bus companies can be found in the bio of our Instagram and Facebook page, on the home page of our school website, as well as in our voicemail message. Please note that you must know your child's bus number.

School and Lunch fees

Thank you to all families who have paid their respective school and lunch fees. For those who have only made a partial payment, you will be receiving a letter advising you of your balance owing. If you'd like to make a payment arrangement, please call Daniela at the Main Office. Please be reminded that lunch fees go directly to the salaries of our lunch monitors. Unpaid fees result in a deficit which must be covered by the school which directly impacts all students.

Parents in building

Please be reminded that, for safety and security reasons, parents are not allowed to go beyond the front steps/ main office when entering the building whether you are arriving in the morning or picking up for an early dismissal. Also, please note that this applies to parents of students in all grades, including Kindergarten. If this problem persists, parents will no longer be allowed into the building and will have to wait for their child outside. Thank you for your cooperation in this important matter.
