Elizabeth Ballantyne School provides healthy lunches and snacks to our students through Merenda School Catering. Parents can view menus and order their children's meals online by visiting their website.
Lunch Supervision
Lunch Program On December 15, 1998, the E.M.S.B. adopted the noon-hour supervision policy which indicated that all children who stay for lunch are responsible for the payment of the lunchroom supervision fee.
Good to know
- Lunches are eaten in the lunch room under the supervision of monitors. This is not a cafeteria.

Children can bring lunch from home or if you prefer, hot lunches are available each day through Merenda, an EMSB-approved caterer. Meranda offer reasonably priced and healthy menus. Hot lunches are delivered to the lunch room. Order forms are sent out periodically.
- Glass bottles and knives are not permitted. The program is not intended for occasional or "emergency" use. Children in the program who wish to leave the school grounds on a given day must be accompanied by an adult with written parental permission. All children must be dressed appropriately for the weather as they go outside for the last 40 minutes of the lunch hour. We encourage you to pack a healthy lunch and avoid junk foods (no soft drinks).
