Spectrum Productions

Creating opportunities for youth and young adults with autism through video and media productions. They offer five programs to their participants:

  1. Summer day camp for all ages.
  2. After school program - weekly two-hour sessions during the school year, where participants explore their creative interests through video production.
  3. Saturday morning cartoons - creating cartoons, stop-motion animations and small productions.
  4. Social club – meets on Friday nights, cooks supper and social activities.
  5. Youth social club - Specifically for youth 8 – 14 and runs approximately twice a month on Saturday from 1-4 pm. Uses the framework from the Friday social club.
  6. Production Club - Production Club is aimed at giving young filmmakers experience working with industry-standard equipment while advancing their understanding about camera, lighting, sound, directing and editing.

National Network for Equitable Library Services (NNELS)

Make copies of books in accessible formats available to Canadian readers who have print disabilities. Perceptual disabilities (commonly known as “print disabilities”) include three broad categories of people who require accessible formats:

  • Severe or total impairment of sight or hearing or the inability to focus or move one’s eyes
  • the inability to hold or manipulate a book, or an impairment relating to comprehension.

Quebec libraries do not participate in the NNELS program. However, should you want books that are in an accessible format, approach your local library, tell them about NNELS. Your library has to apply for the service by signing their agreement and taking an online tutorial.
